Last July 9, 2022, the Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI), together with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, hosted the Make My Eyes: World A.I. Youth Object Recognition Programming Competition. This was the culmination of a 5-day workshop where students from Hong Kong Polytechnic University taught Scratch Programming for object recognition to learners from Pathways to Higher Education and Camarines Sur National High School, one of the partner areas of OSCI for NSTP12-Bigkis.
The workshop and the competition provided the learners with an opportunity to learn about the basics of artificial intelligence and how this kind of technology can help people with disabilities.

Winners for both groups were declared at the end of the competition. International awards were announced on September 5, 2022 for groups who presented exemplary performance and programming design out of all the participants from the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, and South Africa. Two groups from Camarines Sur National High School placed second and fifth out of the ten best performing groups internationally.
