Magnus Arrojado wins gold in Fermat Math Olympiad Nat’l Round

Five Ateneo de Manila Grade School mathletes won medal awards in the recent Fermat Mathematical Olympiad (FMO) National Round, which was held online on 31 July 2022. Leading the awardees was Magnus Arrojado (3-Pulog), who won gold for the primary 2 division. Earning silvers were Ethan Alferez (4-Maniago) and Joaquin Marqueda (2-Acacia) for the primary 3 and primary 1 division, respectively. Bagging bronzes were Henri Lee (3-Matutum) and Miguel Tagarda (3-Taal), both for the primary 2 division.
The FMO is an annual competition developed and held by Fermat Education, an authorized Vietnamese organization board that is involved in many international Olympiads. It is open to all students from kindergarten to grade 9 who have a strong interest in Mathematics, and focuses on how the contestants read, understand, and analyze math problems.
