ASHS welcomes Advent 2022 with blessing and installation of class wreaths
01 Dec 2022
Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) students gathered at the Saint Ignatius Courtyard on November 28 (Grade 11) and 29 (Grade 12) during the morning check-in to officially open the Advent Season with the blessing and installation of class Advent Wreaths. Organized by the Faith Formation District (FFD) with the help of the Campus Ministry Office (CMO) and the office of the Assistant Principal for Formation, the para-liturgy was led by ASHS Chaplain and Head of the ASHS Campus Ministry Office Fr. Bong Dahunan, SJ. During the rite, class representatives lit the first candle of their class’ wreath, which is purple and symbolizes the HOPE felt by the followers of Christ in anticipation of the coming of the Messiah.
