A delegation from Ateneo School of Government (ASoG) led by its Dean, Dr. Philip Arnold P. Tuaño, visited key offices of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) government on November 18, 2022 in Cotabato City.
The ASoG delegation met with the offices of Atty. Sha Elijah Dumama-Alba, Majority Floor Leader of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority and Attorney General of the Bangsamoro Government; Atty. Aelan B. Arumpac, City Administrator of Cotabato City Local Government Unit; and Sheikh Hisham S. Nando, Executive Director of the Bangsamoro Development Academy.
The meetings allowed ASoG through its public policy think tank, the Ateneo Policy Center, to introduce its different programs offered to the region including the Ateneo Bangsamoro Initiative. It also explored opportunities for education and research partnerships and collaboration between ASoG and the BARMM government.
The visit is part of ASoG’s mission to strengthen its efforts in educating and forming leaders that would advance social transformation, good governance, and political reforms in BARMM.
