Ateneo boys’ swim team is 1st runner-up of UAAP 85; Ivo Enot is MVP

With a medal haul of ten golds, seven silvers and three bronzes earned in 16 events over four days of competition, Ateneo de Manila University emerged as boys’ division first runner-up of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 85 Swimming Championships. Ivo Enot (11-De Brito) was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) after collecting five golds and two silvers in individual events. Of the coveted award, Enot says, “Receiving the UAAP MVP award is just the beginning of my career. There are still many goals I haven't yet accomplished. This achievement will serve as my motivation to keep moving forward.”

Leading the multiple medal winners is eventual MVP Ivo Enot with five golds and two silvers. He is followed by Renzo Tirol with four golds and one bronze, Emman Diaz with two relay silvers and an individual silver, Miguel Martinez with two relay silvers and an individual bronze, and Thirdy Lentejas with two relay silvers.
Reflecting on the experience, team captain Matt Molino says, “The UAAP gave the team members the opportunity to bond and become closer with each other while reaching new heights through our love for swimming.”
The UAAP Season 85 Swimming Championships were held at the Teofilo Yldefonso Swimming Pool of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila from November 24 to 27, 2022.
