The Ateneo School of Government, through the Ateneo Policy Center, will hold a brown bag session with its Senior Research Fellow Dr. Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go to discuss the study “Barangay Health Workers: A neglected but important component of the health value chain for Universal Health Care in the Philippines” on January 20, 2023 (Friday), at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
In this session, Dr. Hartigan-Go will delve into the lived experiences of barangay health workers (BHWs) in San Miguel, Bulacan. The discussion will involve the risks and challenges they face in their line of work and offer policy recommendations to improve their conditions and capacitate them to advance universal health care.
