Faber Cabrera ranked 7th in PH by national fencing association

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School student athlete Faber Cabrera (Cardoner/10-Canisius) proved that he is one of the Philippines’ top fencers in the last quarter of 2022.
Following four legs of the year-long qualifying and ranking fencing competitions organized by the Philippine Fencing Association (PFA) from January to October 2022, Faber was ranked 7th in the Philippines in both the juniors category (under 20) AND the cadets category (under 17).
And then, at the 1st Malaysian Fencing Federation Minime International Tournament 2022 held from December 1 to 4, Faber bagged bronze in the under 16 men’s team epee event. He was also ranked 7th out of 41 international fencers in the under 16 men’s individual epee event.
The Minime Tournament was held at the Arena Tan Sri Hamzah gymnasium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with more than 50 Filipino fencers participating.
