Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Mique Aguiluz (12-Navarro) is the graphic artist who illustrated “Ninjay,” one of four stories in the comics compendium, “Gasera ng Paglingap.” The book was written by children’s advocate Chary Mercado, who handpicked Mique and three other digital artists to bring her stories to life. “Gasera…” presents four disturbing scenarios that depict Filipino children being preyed on by sexual predators and the young heroes who call out these vile adults in the community. Of “Ninjay,” the story charmingly and vividly illustrated by Mique, the author reports, “Both teachers and kids like him best.”

“Gasera ng Paglingap” author Chary Mercado says that “Ninjay” is the favorite story of teachers and kids who have read her book.

“Gasera ng Paglingap” is available for purchase online. Paying the P1500 price per book results in five public school children receiving copies for free.
