Epeeist Faber Cabrera ranked #1 in PH and #15 in ASEAN

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School epeeist Faber Cabrera (Cardoner/10-Canisius) achieved impressive rankings and won a medal award in recent international and national fencing competitions.

In the Southeast Asian Fencing Federation (SEAFF) Association Championships held in Malaysia last January, he was ranked 15th out of 34 fencers from ASEAN in junior men’s individual epee and won bronze for the Philippines in the junior men’s team epee event. The SEAFF tournament was held at Arena TSH in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from January 5-13, 2023.

In the Philippine Fencing Association National Ranking Competitions held a month later, he was ranked #1 in junior men’s epee and ranked #2 in cadet men’s epee. The national ranking competitions were held on February 11-12, 2023, at the PhilSports Complex in Pasig City.
