Team from ASHS 12-Oldcorne wins 'Best Presenter' Award at AgHamon 2023

A group of students from Ateneo de Manila Senior High School's 12-Oldcorne section won the Best Presenter Award at AgHamon 2023, an inter-school research conference that challenged the students to come up with timely innovations in the field of STEM. Eeza Sevilla (team leader), Ranze Gonzales, Aki Gulmatico, MJ Odsinada and Sean Ramirez won the award for their Grade 11 research work, “Care to Share: The Design of an App to Help QC Residents Find an Available Hospital Near Them.” The group developed a mobile app with one interface for doctors and another for patients so that data between hospital availability and patient needs could be merged seamlessly and on-the-go.

While the app was designed to respond to the emergency needs of patients and hospital administrators in a pandemic situation, it can also be used to modernize hospital record-keeping and improve the hospital’s overall efficiency.
