INVITATION: ASOG Webinar on “Trilateral Cooperation Among Philippines, United States, and Japan: Acceptability, Implications, and Impact on Regional Security” (27 June 2023)

The Ateneo School of Government, through the Ateneo Policy Center, will hold a webinar on the topic, “Trilateral Cooperation Among Philippines, United States, and Japan: Acceptability, Implications, and Impact on Regional Security” on 27 June 2023.

The webinar’s discussion would be grounded on the Philippines’ national interest as it engages with the US, Japan, and other strategic partners present in the Indo-Pacific. Part of the discourse includes perspectives from Japan, the ASEAN, and the Philippines on the implementation of a trilateral cooperative agreement.

We are bringing together experts and academics to explore what a trilateral cooperative arrangement is, the expected dynamics among the three countries involved, the implementation of such an agreement, and the potential benefits and disadvantages of such an undertaking.
