Ivo Enot bags bronze for PH in SEA Age Group Swimming Championships

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School swimmer Ivo Enot (12-Evans) bagged a bronze medal in the 16-18 boys’ 100m backstroke at the 45th SEA Age Group Aquatics Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 24, 2023. His time of 59.21 seconds was behind champion Tran Tuan Mai of Vietnam, who took the gold with 57.83 time; and second-placer Zeke Chan of Brunei, who clocked 59.18 for the silver.
Enot was one of 19 Filipino athletes who represented us in the event held in Indonesia. As reported by Philippine News Agency, the Pinoy swimmers made it to Jakarta "...after earning slots during a series of open tryouts held in Manila, Vigan in Ilocos Sur and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental, using the fifth-place finish in last year’s Malaysia edition as the qualifying time standard."
The Southeast Asia Age Group Aquatics Championships were held from August 24-26, 2023.
