Borres bags bronze for PH in Asia TKD tourney

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School's Elizabeth Borres (11-Garnet) won a bronze medal in the 7th Asian Junior Taekwondo Poomsae Championships’ recognized female team event. The tournament was held at the Nouhad Naufal Indoor Sports Stadium in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 5.
Elizabeth and her teammates were coached by Jeordan Dominguez, poomsae coach of the Ateneo college varsity. Elizabeth was among the 12 jins (six females + six males) selected by the Philippine Taekwondo Association to represent our country in Lebanon for the poomsae (forms) events.
The Asian Juniors Poomsae Championships attracted approximately 200 taekwondo practitioners from 17 countries, including Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
