2022 Gintong Aklat Awards Finalists

The School of Humanities of Ateneo de Manila University is happy to relay the news that books by its faculty are finalists at the 2022 Gintong Aklat Awards:
Endangered Splendor: Manila's Architectural Heritage, 1571–1960, by Fernando N. Zialcita and Erik Akpedonu (Arts and Humanities category)
Children of the Postcolony: Filipino Intellectuals and Decolonization. 1946–1972, by Charlie Samuiya Veric (Arts and Humanities category)
Aswanglaut, by Allan N Derain (Fiction in Filipino category)
Also a finalist, in the fiction in English category, is The Age of Umbrage by Jessica Zafra, recipient of the Fr Henry Lee Irwin Chair in 2019.
All finalists were published by the Ateneo de Manila University Press.
The Gintong Aklat Awards were established in 1981 to give due recognition to publishers for the excellent quality of their bookmaking. It is managed by the Book Development Association of the Philippines (BDAP).
