[AGS] Computer and Media Literacy Week
18 Sep 2023
A big part of our everyday lives takes place on the internet. Therefore, internet safety is an important issue.
In the spirit of National Peace Month, which we celebrate alongside Computer and Media Literacy Week, meaningful discussions will take place this week that revolve around the advocacy for cyber safety. This celebration is entitled, "Be an Online Detective: #CyberSafety gives you superpowers!”
Cyber safety not only implies the fostering of a positive online environment but also underscores the need to nurture students into becoming responsible digital citizens. Inspired by UNESCO’s advocacy to promote secure and conscientious use of technology and the internet, we hope to empower students to be digital superheroes who will contribute to the creation of a respectful online realm.
This holistic approach hopes to equip students not only with technical skills but also provide them with a moral compass for their digital journeys. It is thus vital to provide students and teachers with a comprehensive toolkit to navigate the digital sphere responsibly and ethically.
Make a difference and be a Digital Superhero!
