Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the IT Manager, the Technical Staff will primarily perform technical services particularly those related with hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, network management, and internet administration at the AGSB – APS.
Job Responsibilities
1. Network Infrastructure Support
· Administers and monitors network usage to ensure connection availability of all network and internet users.
· Administers Local Area Network connections and network wires (both vertical and horizontal).
2. Computing Services Support
· Performs hardware and software maintenance in the computer laboratory.
· Performs equipment inventory for all GSB (including CCE) units in Salcedo Campus.
· Administers frequent software update to all applicable computer units(antivirus, application and OS updates, security patches).
· Conducts daily/weekly back-up of various systems (CCE TPS system, website and department file servers)
· Coordinates installation of new hardware/software; Configures, tests and monitors the operation of computer hardware and software to meet various department needs
3. Other Technical Support
· Performs MBA classroom preparations in Salcedo Campus.
· Evaluates and makes recommendations on the purchase of new information systems, hardware and software.
· Negotiates with and oversees work of vendors/contractors for such services and products.
· Monitors the operations of all CCTV cameras installed in various AGSB sites.
4. Performs all other tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Graduate of BS Information Technology, Computer Engineering or other Computer related course
· Minimum of three (3) years working experience in related field, with 1 year experience in system administration and LAN setup (Open-source and Windows)
· Experience in database administration is an advantage
· Experience in academe setup is an advantage
· Must be willing to work in a flexible schedule
· Extensive technical knowledge in computer-related equipment and projector installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and networking
· Knowledgeable in both Open-source and Windows Environment
· Knowledgeable in System Administration and common network services (Web Servers and Database Servers)
· Proficient in various Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access)
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Has initiative and willing to learn new skills
· Highly organized, multi-tasking and a team player
