
The Tenth Jaime V. Ongpin Annual Memorial Lecture was
entitled: “2012 (not the movie): A Practical Guide to Disaster Risk and Preparedness” and was given by Ma. Antonia Yulo Loyzaga, executive director of the Manila Observatory. The panel of reactors was composed of: Dr. Elisea G. Gozun, Ph.D., Dr. Alfredo Mahar Francisco A. Lagmay, Ph.D., and former Defense Sec. Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr. Cheche Lazaro graced the occasion to moderate the lecture.
The invocation was led by Ateneo de Manila President Fr. Jose Villarin, S.J. while the opening remarks was given by Antonio La Viña, JSD, dean of the Ateneo School of Government.
Admission to the lecture was free.
